The Spectacular Solstice “Star” ~ 17 Dec 2020

There’s a spectacular Solstice “Star” that appears as evening twilight fades. Make an effort to take it in. Do so today to celebrate Saturn’s ingress into Aquarius. Do so Saturday to propitiate Jupiter’s entry into the water bearer’s domain. Do so Sunday... and Monday to celebrate the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. No matter when, do it.

Lift up your eyes to the western sky shortly after sunset and take in the phenomenal proximity of Jupiter and Saturn. You can’t miss it! They are close... as they are at one common ecliptical tick mark when they align. Look to the heavens and ponder the fantastical beauty of this alignment. It is a stunning, spectacular site not available again for two decades.

What if you live in a place where it’s the season of perpetual grey clouds? Well, here’s some photographic fodder for your eyes taken last night with the Moon conjunct and Saturn one minute short of entering Aquarius. Also, with a quick Google search, you’ll find plenty of fantastic photographs to fall into... literally.

Why should you do this? To honor the trek of these beautiful gaseous giants around the sun and their synodic period and labored orbits that culminate in this conjunction. You should do it because this year has been the year it has been. Because what seems to be a Capricorn conspiracy to bring humankind to its knees and stimulate superior sensibilities is, as of the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, officially complete. You should do it because it’s the holidays and you need to shake your own senses into the best festive, creative arrangement they can achieve. You should do it because you believe that what’s up there affects you and all that goes on down here. What’s up there is amazing. It is superlative! Can you absorb the essence of this conjunction and manifest it in every fiber of your being and subsequently every thought, word and deed in your life?

Sure we have a couple of tense Mars aspects this week. His alignment with Eris and square to Pluto are likely to offer up last ditch pokes at what we have all endured to encourage mindfulness moving forward. Having just crossed the territory line into Aquarius we can see things we couldn’t see from Capricorn. New things. Brighter things. Promising things. If we can each individually exemplify the best of these planets, our enthusiasm and optimism may become contagious and spread with greater exponential fanout than a coronavirus.

It’s worth a shot. Take in the sky and see if you can be a part of the momentum toward manifesting a better world than ever before. A wise, wagering person might bet you can.

Realizing it’s the holidays and you want to get back to festivities and more, here’s one more note. We have reentered the era of increasing solar activity. In fact, recently, there’s been some significant coronal mass ejections on the Sun. What about that? It can make a body and mind feel out of sync. It can disrupt by leaving behind subtle, yet potent and frentic energetic stimulation. What to do if suddenly your consciousness feels blitzed by an inexplicable caffeine buzz? Get out in nature. Sit on the ground if you can. Or pick a rock, or a log... lean against a tree... kneel on the Earth. Let the accelerated solar stimulation pass through and purge you as it goes. When done, allow the energy to fall to the Earth, feeding all that seeks to grow upon this planet of ours. When feeling buzzed for no reason, engage it. That should bolster the awe and majesty of the planets overhead

Enjoy the holidays however you celebrate.

There will be more soon in future posts!
